Did the SBU get rid of Akhmetov?

SBUThe Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) has closed criminal proceedings against the organizers of the miners' strikes that took place in April 2015 and were organized with the support of Akhmetov's people. This was reported on his Facebook page by Mykhailo Volynets, head of the Independent Miners' Trade Union.

It is known that on April 24, 2015, the SBU opened a criminal case against top managers of coal mining companies who provided financial support for organizing miners' protests in central Kyiv.

On September 3, 2015, the criminal case was closed under paragraph 2, part 1, article 284 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine. The SBU closed the proceedings due to the "absence of elements of a criminal offense."

As a reminder, in April 2015, protesters in central Kyiv demanded the resignation of Energy and Coal Industry Minister Volodymyr Demchyshyn. MP Nayyem subsequently published documents proving that the miners' strike was financed by a top manager at Rinat Akhmetov's company.
