The SBU has exposed officials who sold classified information from security agencies.

Cyber ​​specialists from the Security Service of Ukraine have blocked a scheme for unauthorized interference in the databases of law enforcement and regulatory agencies. The group's organizers included government officials who sold restricted information to their clients, according to reports. press office power department.

"Security service operatives documented that members of the interregional group systematically 'scraped' information from databases belonging to departments of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the State Migration Service, the Tax Service, and the Border Service. The criminals sold the stolen, restricted-access information to their clients."

The Security Service of Ukraine has documented the involvement of law enforcement and regulatory officials in this organization.

Six searches were conducted in the offices and premises of the perpetrators in the Kyiv, Kherson, and Kirovohrad regions. The following items were seized during the investigation:

  • laptops;
  • bank cards;
  • printouts of illegal extracts from databases;
  • and other carriers of evidence of illegal activity.

"As part of the criminal proceedings initiated under Part 2 of Article 361 and Part 2 of Article 361-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, a pre-trial investigation is being conducted," the statement reads.
