Presidential adviser Nikolai Tomenko wants the Prosecutor General's Office to investigate the possible involvement of the Ministry of Internal Affairs leadership as a whole and Deputy Minister Sergei Chebotar in corruption schemes.

The Petro Poroshenko Bloc press service reported this following Tomenko's visit to Pereyaslav-Khmelnytskyi.

"In almost every region where I meet with people, the name of this person is mentioned, who allegedly ensures the functioning of various corruption schemes," the presidential adviser noted.

"In some regions, there's talk of buying and selling positions within the Ministry of Internal Affairs. For example, in the city of Pereyaslav-Khmelnytskyi, transporters informed me that Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Chebotar and his relatives are supporting a number of so-called 'disposable' companies transporting people from Pereyaslav to Kyiv without paying a penny in taxes, effectively destroying the official transport system," he added.

In this regard, Tomenko promised that he would prepare a corresponding appeal to the Prosecutor General's Office.
