Serhiy Kurchenko is buying two major gas supply companies in Donbas.

Serhiy Kurchenko is acquiring two major Donbas gas supply companies, Donetskoblgaz PJSC and Makeyevkagaz PJSC. A source in Moscow close to the negotiations told Podrobnosti.

According to him, the goal of the deal is to take control of the Donbass gas transportation system by establishing gas supplies from Kuban.

"Kurchenko is currently buying Donetskoblgaz and Makiivka. He's negotiating a gas supply contract with Kubangaz for Donetskoblgaz," the source said.
As is known, the owners of PJSC Donetskoblgaz were Sheludchenko and Oksana Mass.

Mr. Sheludchenko’s intention to sell the company became known at the end of March 2014, when Donetskoblgaz changed shareholders.

At the time, the media reported that Vladimir and Elena Sheludchenko, who together owned 37,4%, were selling their shares.

Sheludchenko, together with the Mass family, also owned PJSC Makeyevkagaz.
