The scandal surrounding Ukraine's largest industrial goods market, "Seventh Kilometer," stems from a business dispute between the company's former co-founders and the "Family" of former President Viktor Yanukovych.

Entrepreneur Denis Voloshin, one of the parties to the dispute, announced this at a press conference on Thursday.
According to Voloshin, in 2010, representatives of the Family, in violation of the law, illegally alienated his share in the market's authorized capital.
"The case of the market's hostile takeover by representatives of the 'Family' is pending before the Supreme Court of Ukraine. The court will deliver its ruling on September 2. In an attempt to cover their tracks, the 'Family' has resold the enterprise several times. '7th Kilometer' has been transferred to a Cyprus offshore company and is not contributing a penny to the regional or national budget. And today, the market's director was placed on the wanted list," Voloshin stated.
According to the entrepreneur, the active media campaign around the market, launched by representatives of the "Family," is intended to put pressure on Supreme Court judges.
Voloshin also reported on a planned provocation – a staged takeover of the 7th kilometer by the market administration.
"I've been defending my property rights legally for four years. And I intend to continue doing so. However, I have information that if the court rules against the Family, the market administration will stage a takeover, potentially resulting in casualties. Therefore, I urge entrepreneurs to refrain from participating in these provocations," the businessman stated.
Another participant in the conflict, Viktor Dobryansky Jr., stated that the structures of representatives of the “Family” of Yuri Ivanyushchenko and Ivan Avramov, who seized the 7th Kilometer in a raid in 2010, financed terrorists in the east of our country and prepared the market for bankruptcy.
According to him, the takeover was carried out through one of the market's co-owners, Boris Melnichuk, who, taking advantage of the serious illness of the market's now-deceased founder and CEO, Viktor Dobryansky Sr., transferred 28% of the industrial market's ownership to Parrox Corporation Ltd, a company controlled by Yuriy Ivanyushchenko and Ivan Avramov.
"The corporate raid involved the use of tried-and-true methods: threats and blackmail against the founders, not only from criminal organizations but also from the authorities and police. Such methods of redistributing property were common during the Yanukovych regime, while Yuriy Ivanyushchenko and Ivan Avramov themselves alternately denied and admitted their stance on the market," Dobryansky noted.
As a result, for the last four years, Boris Melnichuk and Ivan Avramov managed the 7th Kilometer industrial market together. To increase profitability, they established a "Business Security" service, which primarily focused on official racketeering against entrepreneurs trading at the market.
"Many market services began to be paid for using unregistered cash registers, which significantly reduced Channel Seven's official income, significantly affecting Ukraine's budget," Dobryansky notes. "By illegally enriching themselves, Yuriy Ivanyushchenko and Ivan Avramov not only caused financial damage to our country—the money they stole from the state was used to support terrorists in eastern Ukraine."
As a reminder, on August 27, the Odessa Regional Prosecutor's Office conducted an investigative operation at the 7th Kilometer market as part of a criminal investigation under Part 4 of Article 190 and Part 5 of Article 191 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – "fraud; misappropriation, embezzlement, or taking possession of property through abuse of office."
On September 2, the Supreme Court of Ukraine will issue a ruling on the case of so-called "gifts to the family" (in 2010, a number of businesses, including the 7th Kilometer market, were transferred by their owners to Viktor Yanukovych's inner circle as gifts).
Dumskaya is ready to give the floor to the other side of the conflict.
