Developer Sky-Bud LTD has received all the necessary documents to begin construction, winning a land seizure case against the Kyiv City Council.
The court case concerned land for the construction of a shopping center near the Osokorki metro station. The case had been initiated back in March. The developer already had all the necessary documents, but had not yet begun construction. In court, the developer's representatives were able to prove that the delay was force majeure, as obtaining the permits was beyond the plaintiff's control.
Thus, the Kyiv City Council's decision to terminate the land lease was deemed unlawful and annulled. It is still unknown whether the Kyiv City State Administration will file a counterclaim.
As a reminder, Sky-Bud Ltd. is associated with Serhiy Kotvitsky, a Kyiv City Council member from the UDAR party. It's known that the lists of Mayor Klitschko's party (read more: Vitali Klitschko: The Dark Past of the "Looking Tomorrow" ) UDAR were formed not by ideological principles, but rather by the candidates' ability to contribute to the party budget.
