Ivan Mikloš will be appointed as an advisor to the Minister of Economic Development and Trade, Aivaras Abromavicius. The Minister of Economic Development and Trade announced this during a parliamentary session. Abromavicius also noted that the appointment will take place this coming Monday.

 

Let us recall that Ivan Mikloš served as Minister of Economy (1998-2002) and Minister of Finance (2010-2012) in his home country of Slovakia.

 

Ivan Mikloš is known as the author of a successful tax reform that helped attract many foreign investors to Slovakia.

 

It was previously reported that Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko, following the appointment of Viktor Shokin as Prosecutor General, stated that he supports the practice of appointing citizens of other countries to leadership positions in executive and law enforcement agencies.
