Amstor LLC Director Sergei Sokolsky reports that the Vagorovsky brothers are directly involved in the theft of 124 vehicles. The vehicles were deregistered with the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate and transferred to shell companies operating in areas not controlled by the Ukrainian government. According to Sokolsky, the vehicles in question were Mercedes-Benz ACTROS 4140 and MAN TGA 41.400 trucks. An audit conducted after the Vagorovsky brothers disappeared revealed that the former managers registered the vehicles, purchased with Amstor Group funds, to private individuals. Most of the registrations were carried out in the names of mid-level managers reporting directly to the Vagorovsky brothers.
Serhiy Sokolskyy, in particular, clarified that the luxury Mercedes-Benz G 63 AMG, purchased for 1,8 million hryvnias for Amstor LLC, was subsequently sold for half that price to Vladimir Vagorovskyy's personal driver. In January 2015, the same car was re-registered to a different owner, residing at 152a Krasnozvezdny Avenue in Kyiv. This address is the location of the Berkut police unit dormitory. A luxury BMW 7 had previously been re-registered in the same manner. The car was registered to a Donetsk resident who acted as a founder of several shell companies, one of which once listed Pavel Gubarev, a well-known leader of the separatist movement in Donbas, as its director.
Sokolsky also added that the former Amstor management, represented by the Vagorovsky brothers, is doing everything possible to destabilize the shopping centers' operations and conceal the scale of the thefts. An audit conducted by the main shareholder revealed that the Vagorovsky brothers were directly involved in the theft of funds from Amstor LLC on an especially large scale.
Based on the facts revealed, the current management of Amstor LLC has sent a corresponding appeal to law enforcement agencies.
As a reminder, in late 2014, Smart Holding announced the removal of the current management of the Amstor group of companies due to allegedly uncovered fraud. In response, minority owner Vladimir Vagorovsky accused Smart Holding of attempting a corporate takeover. As a result of the corporate conflict, the Amstor chain was shut down. Smart Holding, for its part, claimed that the armed men who blockaded the chain's stores acted on the orders of its former manager and minority shareholder, Vladimir Vagorovsky.
