Lyashko's associate inflated the price of an electric transformer by more than 14 times.

imagesThe company Ukrpoliskorm overpaid for housing construction in Sofiivska Borshahivka by at least 14 million hryvnias. The overpayment was caused by an electrical transformer, which in reality was significantly cheaper, according to Nashi Groshi.

According to court documents, in 2013, the State Mortgage Institution and PJSC Ukrainian Innovation Bank entered into a targeted loan agreement with Ukrpoliskorm LLC. The company received a 69 million hryvnia loan to complete the construction of residential buildings on Gorky Street in Sofiivska Borshahivka.

Of this amount, 18,6 million hryvnias went toward the residential power grid. Specifically, the electric transformer was allegedly ordered in 2005 from the Zaporizhtransformator plant and cost 14,68 million hryvnias. However, an audit revealed that the transformer had been resold several times. Ukrainian Energy Company LLC, the contractor, purchased it for 14,5 million hryvnias from Viande LLC, which in turn purchased the transformer from Nika Trading LLC for only 50 hryvnias. However, Nika Trading also turned out to have purchased the same transformer from Metcity LLC for 462,5 hryvnias.

An investigation is currently underway into money laundering by officials of Ukrpoliskorm. Interestingly, this company is owned by Lyudmila, the wife of MP Serhiy Skuratovsky. The Ukrainian Energy Company is owned by Mykhailo Tetia and Andriy Lada, who are also associated with the MP. It's important to note that MP Skuratovsky is a member of Oleh Lyashko's Radical Party.

It should also be noted that Nika Trading has come under law enforcement scrutiny due to suspicions of money laundering in Kharkiv.
