Yuriy Lutsenko
Former MP Oleksandr Shepelev claimed that current Prosecutor General Yuriy Lutsenko, during his tenure as Minister of Internal Affairs, extorted and accepted a bribe of $150 from him, according to the website Elise.
A corresponding video message was published on the politician's YouTube channel. Shepelev noted that this is an official appeal to the NABU and directly to its head, Artem Sytnyk.
Reasons for bribing Lutsenko
"In 2006, Interior Minister Lutsenko, on Yanukovych's orders, forced MPs into the Party of Regions faction. Under threat of stripping me of my Ukrainian citizenship and parliamentary immunity, he demanded that I leave the Yulia Tymoshenko Bloc faction and join the Party of Regions, which I informed my superiors of. He even sent a petition to the President of Ukraine to strip me of my Ukrainian citizenship and a letter to the Central Election Commission to cancel my registration as a people's deputy," Shepelev stated.
He also added that "after the required number of carcasses had been collected," Interior Ministry General Vasyl Pascal conveyed to him the Minister of Internal Affairs' demand that he buy out the criminal case for $150. Otherwise, according to the former MP, he was threatened with loss of citizenship, parliamentary immunity, murder charges, and arrest.
Two bottles of whiskey
"To protect myself from Lutsenko's arbitrary actions, I was forced to agree to his demands and pay a bribe. In the Interior Minister's office, I personally handed him $150. As a sign of reconciliation, we drank two bottles of whiskey in his office. He became very drunk and fell asleep at his desk. I carried him to his lounge, onto the sofa. I took a few photos of a drunken, sleeping Lutsenko with my phone, and left the office," Shepelev added.
After this, according to the former MP, Interior Ministry General Pascal handed him at the Lipsky Mansion restaurant all the materials from the investigations that the Interior Ministry had conducted against the parliamentarian and his family, including the Interpol file and Canadian government documents regarding my citizenship.
"After the Revolution of Dignity, Lutsenko became an advisor to the president and then headed the Petro Poroshenko Bloc faction. Now Lutsenko is Ukraine's Prosecutor General and continues to work for Yanukovych, despite his official claims to the contrary. I have evidence to support my claims, and I will present it. Meanwhile, Vasyl Paskal now heads the security service of oligarch Rinat Akhmetov. The new government is persecuting me according to a scenario written by Pshonka and Yanukovych, in which Lutsenko played a direct role. I will no longer remain silent and will provide NABU with all the necessary information and evidence. And not only in this case," Shepelev added.
