The Starokostiantynivskyi Dairy Plant, located in the Khmelnytskyi region and part of the Ukrprodukt holding, was fined UAH 790,311 by the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine for counterfeiting its products, the Antimonopoly Committee's press service reported.
It is reported that the dairy sold peasant butter, adding vegetable fats to it.
According to the AMCU, adding vegetable fat to the oil reduced the cost of the product and allowed for “unlawful advantages in obtaining additional profit from the sale of the product.”
Ukrprodukt produces and exports dairy products. The holding company provides distribution and logistics services for its own products to third parties.
The Ukrprodukt Group owns four dairies and the Arsenievsky kvass plant. The company's dairy products are sold under the following brands: Nash Molochnik, Molendam, Vershkova Dolina, Nash Syrk, Narodny Produkt, Fermersky, and Kremlevskoye.
