Structures close to the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs will oversee the Kharkiv company Energia-95. According to Kommentarii, Arsen Avakov plans to return the gas production company Energia-95 LLC, which he headed in the early 2000s, to his sphere of influence.

As the publication has learned, Avakov's lawyers recently raised the issue of canceling the sale of corporate rights. It took place in March 2012, along with the sale of several other companies that were part of the Investor business group, created by the current Minister of Internal Affairs. The founders of the Kharkiv LLC were Ditek Gaz Energy Limited (Cyprus) and Energy Ditek Limited (British Virgin Islands).
Recently, proceedings were initiated to cancel the sale and purchase. On August 11, the Kharkiv Regional Commercial Court invalidated the amendments to the company's incorporation documents, which listed the Cypriot and British owners of the LLC. The reason cited was a violation of the law. After Ditek Gaz Energy and Energy Ditek became owners, the company became a foreign company, meaning it was prohibited from operating in the oil and gas production sector, which is strategic for the state.
If the court ruling comes into force, the new owners of Energia-95 will be Avakov's close associates, Investor-Naftogaz LLC and Technological Investment Company LLC. The beneficiaries of Ditek Gaz Energy Limited and Energy Ditek Limited are unlikely to have much influence over the situation. This may be due to the fact that the Cypriot and British entities are backed by individuals with limited administrative resources. Among them is Party of Regions MP Ravil Safiullin, whose daughter Maryam became a co-owner of Energia-95 alongside Ditek Gaz Energy and Energy Ditek. Another reason this is possible is the formality of the deal. It is possible that it took place at the initiative of Arsen Avakov himself. This is supported by the fact that the director of Energia-95 LLC remained the same after the deal. It is headed by Viktor Popov, appointed during Avakov's tenure.
Ditek Gaz Energy Limited and Energy Ditek Limited did not wish to participate in the legal dispute, officially notifying the court that they leave the decision on this process to its discretion.
