The Kyiv Commercial Court dismissed a lawsuit against Ukraine International Airlines over its debt to Boryspil Airport of 145 million hryvnias.
We would like to remind you that, following a request from the Ministry of Infrastructure, the Kyiv Regional Prosecutor's Office filed a lawsuit seeking payment of a UAH 24,1 million debt owed to Boryspil Airport for ground handling services provided by Ukraine International Airlines. However, during the course of the case, the amount increased to UAH 145,3 million.
The court ruled that the final amount was calculated incorrectly due to existing agreements between Ukraine International Airlines and Boryspil Airport that provide for substantial discounts. However, the airport did not apply these discounts. Therefore, the prosecutor's claim was dismissed. The corresponding decision is included in the register of court decisions dated October 27, 2014.
As is known, MAU belongs to the Ukrainian oligarch and current governor of Dnipropetrovsk region, Igor Kolomoisky.
