Kyiv's Pechersky District Court extended the pretrial detention of former minister Ihor Shvaika for two months, the Svoboda All-Ukrainian Union press service reported.

Judge Vasilyeva is known to have extended the Svoboda member's arrest until January 4, 2016. It was previously reported that Igor Shvaika is charged with "participating in mass riots" that occurred near the Parliament on August 31, 2015, resulting in death. In addition to the former minister, Svoboda members Eduard Leonov and Yuriy Sirotyuk have also been charged.
