Judge Alexey Zolotarev of the Leninsky District Court of Luhansk, who began working in the "LPR Ministry of Justice" after the occupation of the Luhansk region, now intends to seek a Ukrainian pension.
As Censor.NET journalist Sergei Ivanov reported on his blog, the judge intends to resign today, securing a substantial pension from the Ukrainian government. Moreover, it will be significantly higher than that of doctors or teachers, especially considering that the hryvnia-to-ruble exchange rate in the LPR is 1:2, while in Ukraine it's 1:3.
According to Ivanov, for some reason the Ukrainian Ministry of Justice showed no interest in the judge, even though he was one of the few remaining employees in the LPR.
There are currently no official comments from the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine or the Pension Fund on this matter.
