Media reports have emerged that the former MP's wife, Anna Martynenko, registered ownership of two apartments in the Ambassador House club building, located at 4b Ivana Franka Street, Kyiv, on February 11.
A deed of gift served as the basis for acquiring the property, measuring 166 and 271 square meters and two parking spaces. The previous owner of the luxury apartments was listed as Mrs. Martynenko's father, Valeriy Krivoborsky, who purchased them in 2012. The current owner has already received permission to renovate the property and has begun the process of combining the apartments into a single property.
The publications recalled that Anna Martynenko's husband, former MP Mykola Martynenko, remains a subject of an ongoing investigation by the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) into his alleged bribe acceptance of approximately 30 million francs during the purchase of equipment from the Czech company Skoda JS by Energoatom, as well as his involvement in fraudulent procurement of uranium concentrate by the state-owned enterprise VostokGZK from the Austrian company Steuermann. Most of the fraudulent activities of which Martynenko is suspected occurred during his tenure as a member of parliament, from 1998 to 2015, when he resigned early.
