THAT'S NOT OUR AND DAD'S OWN PROPERTY, THAT'S THE DECLARATION

Anatoly Danilenko's 29-year-old son, Vyacheslav, decided to give a confident "response" to all the annoying journalists and all the "enemies" he believes have pooled large sums of money to order compromising material against his family. The responses of the future "luminary" of global economics, the son of Deputy Prosecutor General Anatoly Danilenko, were published on espreso.tv.

— Vyacheslav, for the past few weeks, the media has been circulating information about your business and your family's property. In the wake of the ongoing public lustration and government cleansing in the country, this topic has received considerable public attention. How can you comment on this?

"Today, our family is under journalistic scrutiny like never before. And I understand absolutely clearly that the main target of this "information attack" is my father, Anatoliy Danilenko, who holds the position of Deputy Prosecutor General of Ukraine."

*

Indeed, how could one not be under fire when officials hire their cronies to serve in government bodies, something Prosecutor General Vitaliy Yarema has excelled at. He and Danilenko have been close friends since at least 2005, when he was appointed deputy, and later first deputy, to Vitaliy Yarema's Kyiv Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, where he served until the current Prosecutor General's resignation in 2010. And their friendship, as in the case of their rapid takeover of Kyiv's real estate sector, only grew stronger.

That is, sooner or later, questions would still arise about Danilenko’s persona in the current reality, after the victory of the “democratic revolution,” whatever it may be.

What makes you think this is an information attack? It's just that no one has ever been able to boast of their hard-earned possessions, even surpassing former Prosecutor General Pshonka.

— Regarding your property. How long have you owned the above-mentioned properties?

"I'm a co-owner. And all the business assets that are being portrayed as the fruit of corrupt activity were acquired six years ago, long before my father, Anatoly Danilenko, became Deputy Prosecutor General. I'd also like to point out that all the aforementioned assets have been officially declared by me to the tax authorities. Note: they haven't been hidden under false names, nor have they been hoarded in the names of third-party companies or organizations, but have been honestly declared to government agencies. Incidentally, it's from these official declarations that all the compromising information is gleaned."

*
Why was the figure given specifically as six years ago? You're a poor defense attorney, Vyacheslav Anatolyevich. Six years ago, your father was an advisor to Interior Minister Yuriy Lutsenko, currently number one on the Petro Poroshenko Bloc list, and even his lawyer, when Yuriy Vitaliyovych was facing "troubled times" under the "Yanukovych regime." And then, your father officially returned to work for Vitaliy Yarema. So, it was precisely during this period of active work that the acquisition of all the real estate occurred, as a simple "thank you" for your service, which, naturally, also fell to you.
And since we're on the subject of the declaration, based on the data your father provided for last year, he is the wealthiest of all of Yarema's deputies. He never worked, but he owns two plots of land (1,4 hectares and 0,24 hectares), two houses (279 sq. m and 308 sq. m), three apartments (53,5 sq. m, 83,4 sq. m, 73 sq. m). Together with you (that is, your family), you own nine plots of land totaling 6,7 hectares and five apartments (from 53,5 sq. m to 257 sq. m)! He has a personal Toyota Sequoia in the garage, and which one do you drive: a Mitsubishi L 200 or a Mercedes GL 550?

This is not compromising information, it sounds like this to the people: “Have you completely lost your mind or something?!”

And after the TV show "Nashi Groshi," few people will believe that you are in no way related to the fictitious companies that don't pay taxes to the state budget, and you have a ton of them.

— Do you think you were “ordered” in this way?

The disclosed facts are presented one-sidedly and are categorically interpreted as evidence of corruption. Moreover, the online publications provide no evidence of violations of the law or illegal actions related to the acquisition of any particular property. Whether it's a discussion about a complex in the village of Malaya Soltanovka or a plot of land in the village of Vorzel.

*

Well, yes, and the role of Soltanovka-Kaskad LLC here is completely irrelevant. And when in 2009 the Malosoltanovsky village council allowed this enterprise to draw up technical documentation for a 40-hectare plot for the "operation and maintenance of the complex," they simply forgot to sign the lease agreement, or what?

As for Vorzel, it would have been better to keep quiet about it altogether. You requested that the land's designated use be changed from a tourist camp to "construction and maintenance of a residential building, outbuildings, and structures," and in 2008, together with your partner, Ilyin, you obtained a state deed of ownership for the land.

— How long have you been in business and what exactly do you do?

I graduated from Taras Shevchenko National University, defended my dissertation in economics, and for ten years I've been involved in business, to varying degrees of intensity, and nothing else. I've worked on various projects, some successful, some not so successful, and for a Belgian company. Currently, I'm the Deputy Director of Economic Affairs for an international company focused on real estate, industrial investment, and infrastructure projects.

*

Well, everything came together here: both the appropriate education and the field of activity, which means the ability to conduct real estate transactions cannot be taken away a priori.

— Did you know that journalists from one of the programs that investigated your business received threats?

"I'm confident law enforcement will look into this matter. They're currently trying to discredit our family, using every trick in the book. Considering the wave of negative information being spread so widely, as a businessman, I understand that the cost of such a campaign is quite high. That means someone's paying for it all."

*

But we have different information: for some reason, it was after this story that journalists from the "Nashi Groshi" program received threats for the first time in the year since the project's launch, which he began working on during the "criminal regime of Yanukovych." So, the "criminal regime" didn't bother anyone and didn't pay attention to this kind of information, but your father is apparently afraid. By the way, another story will air on October 14th. What can they expect?

And I wonder if these aren't the same law enforcement agencies that were in service with Yarema and your father just a couple of years ago?

As a businessman, you should understand even more that by engaging in activities related to land and real estate, the “orders” placed on you will even become more expensive, because you are dealing with the most precious thing that the people have.

— How do you personally and your family perceive what is happening around you now?

— To be honest, we expected a blow, but we didn’t imagine that it would be so dirty and so large-scale, but we’ll survive this too; there have been more difficult times.

*

...as you honestly admitted, people who carry personalized pistols can only expect blows, since prison, apparently, is not a threat to you for now.

Following such a heart-wrenching account of the hard, laborious, and just work of the son of Ukraine's Deputy Prosecutor General, Vyacheslav Danilenko, Prokurorskaya Pravda wants to ask a few questions:

— Who advised you to “answer” for all the materials recently collected against your father and you, if you haven’t really answered a single question?

— Is it hard to be the 29-year-old son of the "richest deputy prosecutor general" and still be afraid of some kind of "blow"?

-Which of the wealthy high-ranking officials do you suspect of “ordering” an assassination against you and how will you take revenge if you find out?

What should be included in a deputy prosecutor general's declaration so that it isn't considered incriminating and doesn't get picked on by the media?

— How much will you sell a hundred square meters of land in Vorzel for? More than Syrets in Kyiv?
