According to Ukrainska Pravda, three prosecutors were involved in a traffic accident on Bazhan Avenue in Kyiv: Mykhailo Z., Andriy Ts., and Serhiy P. These individuals do indeed work for the Boryspil Interdistrict Prosecutor's Office.
The accident occurred around 1:00 a.m. on December 1. According to eyewitnesses, the Volkswagen collided with a Nissan Note, which was driven by a pregnant woman.
The Kyiv Regional Prosecutor's Office press service confirmed that such officers are indeed employed. The prosecutor's office also reported that Sergei P. arrived immediately after learning of the accident. The car was driven by Sergei P.'s stepfather, who is not an employee of the prosecutor's office. An internal investigation into the accident has been launched, which is being conducted jointly with the State Traffic Inspectorate.
On the auto forum (forum.autoua.net), user Alexander wrote: "A Volkswagen Passat crashed into a Nissan Note, and its driver, a woman, was taken away by ambulance. And then the fun began. Two guys locked themselves (really locked themselves) in the Volkswagen, turned off the engine, and are sitting there in the back seat. They don't respond to police demands. People are saying that someone got out of the car earlier and handed the keys to someone else. They start pushing the car, practically rocking it. At some point, one of the side windows is broken. Two men are inside, at first they don't want to get out, claiming they can't open the car from the inside! They were able to get the men out of the car. They have no documents, and they can't really tell the police their names. After a while, they take a breathalyzer test. One shows over 1 ppm, the other almost 2. Both claim they weren't driving and don't remember anything at all. Meanwhile, people noticed that some young man allegedly called somewhere and said, “I’ll decide.”
The traffic police confirmed that there were indeed three drunk drivers in the car. An investigation is currently underway, as it remains unclear who was driving the vehicle.
As we have learned, the victim was still in the Kyiv Regional Hospital yesterday. She suffered bruises to her torso and head.
