The leader of the All-Ukrainian Union "Svoboda" Oleh Tyahnybok filed a lawsuit against the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Arsen Avakov.
The essence of the lawsuit is to protect Tyahnybok's honor, dignity, and business reputation. He claims Avakov provided false information, naming those responsible for the clashes near the Verkhovna Rada before the court's decision. In doing so, Avakov, according to Tyahnybok, violated the presumption of innocence.
The leader of Svoboda also expressed confidence in his victory during the trial.
As a reminder, Avakov previously accused Svoboda members and Tyahnybok personally of provocations, writing in particular that a Svoboda member and a Sich battalion fighter threw a grenade near the Verkhovna Rada.
As a result, more than a hundred military and civilians were injured near the parliament, and several people died.
