At the request of the Prosecutor General's Office, the Pechersky District Court of Moscow has seized the yacht of Boris Timonkin. Timonkin is known as the former deputy chairman of the VETEK group, which is owned by Serhiy Kurchenko. The court issued this order on August 7, and the information has been published in the Registry.

The Prosecutor General's Office suspects Timonkin of being a co-conspirator with Serhiy Kurchenko and committing particularly serious crimes: issuing loans from Brokbusinessbank to the fugitive oligarch's companies totaling over 2 billion hryvnias, as well as conducting illegal transactions with the Agrarian Fund. The losses amounted to 2,069 billion hryvnias. The banker's actions are classified under Part 5 of Article 191, Part 1 of Article 255, Part 3 of Article 209, and Part 2 of Article 366 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The total damage caused to the Ukrainian budget exceeds 16 billion hryvnias.

Boris Timonkin keeps two yachts, a Hanse 38 and a Hunter 41, at a yacht club on the Kyiv Sea. If he is found guilty in court, the seized yacht will be confiscated, and the banker himself faces up to 15 years in prison.

As a reminder, former UkrSibbank Chairman of the Board Timonkin began collaborating with Serhiy Kurchenko in July 2013. At VETEK Group, he was responsible for banking operations and the company's financial affairs. In late 2013, he became a member of Brokbusinessbank's supervisory board. After Kurchenko fled the country, Timonkin also left Ukraine, and the Prosecutor General's Office placed him on the international wanted list in May 2014.
