Group DF, which consolidates the assets of Ukrainian oligarch Dmitry Firtash, denies reports that the businessman is selling his stake in the Inter TV channel, reports Interfax-Ukraine.

Furthermore, there is a suggestion that “we may be talking about unfair competition, up to and including the preparation of a corporate raid on Group DF’s media asset.”

"No negotiations regarding the sale of Firtash's stake in the Inter TV channel have been conducted with anyone, and none are currently ongoing," Group DF representatives summarize.

As a reminder, the day before, the Telegram channel of the Ukrainian Institute for Policy Analysis and Management reported that Victor Medvedchuk Allegedly purchased 80% of the shares of the Inter TV channel from Firtash. This information was widely reported by a number of media outlets.

REFERENCE: At the end of 2018, Dmitry Firtash, through the Cypriot Group DF Holding Limited, owned 80% of the Cypriot GDF Media Limited (another 20% belonged to the people's deputy Sergey Levochkina), which controls 90% of Inter TV Channel, according to the channel's website. Svetlana Pluzhnikova is an indirect 10% shareholder..
