Firtash denies transferring mining and processing plants to the state

Crimean Titan, a subsidiary of Dmitry Firtash's Group DF, denies leasing the entire property complexes of the Volnogorsk Mining and Metallurgical Plant and the Irshansk Mining and Processing Plant to the state.
The press service of Crimean Titan reported this.
"Krymsky Titan," which is the leaseholder of the Volnogorsk Mining and Processing Plant and the Irshansk Mining and Processing Plant, did not receive or sign any documents regarding the transfer of the Irshansk Mining and Processing Plant and the Volnogorsk Mining and Processing Plant to the state. Therefore, according to current Ukrainian legislation, no transfer of the Irshansk Mining and Processing Plant to the state occurred. All statements by officials regarding the return of these enterprises to the state by the Irshansk Mining and Processing Plant are false and premature," the statement reads.
According to Crimean Titan, no government agency in the country currently has the right to carry out the procedure for transferring the Irshansky Mining and Processing Plant and the Volnogorsk Mining and Metallurgical Combine to the state.
"Between July and August 2014, the Cabinet of Ministers and the State Property Fund introduced a number of legislative amendments that significantly altered the procedure for returning leased CEC assets to the state... Specifically, the State Property Fund issued orders that, in violation of current legislation, changed the procedure for conducting the CEC inventory of the Irshansky Mining and Processing Plant and the Volnogorsk Mining and Metallurgical Combine by significantly advancing the deadlines," Crimean Titan stated.
The company appealed the State Property Fund's orders to the Kyiv District Administrative Court.
"On September 4, the court issued a ruling prohibiting the State Property Fund and other agencies, including law enforcement agencies, from transferring or returning leased assets to the state until the case is considered on the merits and a final decision is made," Crimean Titan summarized.
The press service also noted that the tenant did not interfere with the State Property Fund's inventory of the mining and processing plants, but did not participate in this process.
"These actions were carried out in violation of the procedure stipulated by law," Firtash's company is confident.
As reported, the State Property Fund, together with the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade, made a decision according to which the State Property Fund transferred, and the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade accepted, the entire property complexes of the Irshansk and Volnogorsk Mining and Processing Plants.
