The Cabinet of Ministers increased the salaries of mayors of cities with over a million inhabitants and chairmen of regional councils from UAH 15,400 to UAH 17,760. This was stated in Government Resolution No. 525 of June 19, the agency reports. «Ukrainian news».
According to the documents, the salaries of the first deputy chairman of the regional council, the secretary of the Kyiv city council (to 15,540 hryvnias from 13,800 hryvnias) and deputies (to 13,880 hryvnias from 12,400 hryvnias) also increased.
Thus, the salaries of mayors of cities with a population of over one million people have now increased to 15,540 hryvnias (from 12,200 hryvnias), the salaries of district council chairmen in Kyiv have increased to 14,270 hryvnias (from 11,300 hryvnias), and the salaries of other district council chairmen have increased to 14,000 hryvnias (from 11,000 hryvnias).
"The document also provides for salary increases for other heads of regional, district, and city councils and specialists in their offices, as well as employees of local government bodies and the prosecutor's office," the media outlet notes.
The government also increased salaries for local government officials by rank. For rank 1, the bonus will be 1,000 hryvnias (up from 160 hryvnias), for rank 2, 900 hryvnias (up from 150 hryvnias), and for rank 3, 800 hryvnias (up from 145 hryvnias). The bonus for rank 15 will now be up to 200 hryvnias (up from 45 hryvnias).
