By decision of the State Service of Geology and Subsoil of Ukraine, special permits for the use of subsoil resources at the Golubovskoye, Yuryevskoye (both in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast) and Lopushnyanskoye (Chernihiv Oblast) deposits were suspended.
As it turns out, they were suspended due to Ukrnafta's outstanding debts for subsoil use. Thirty days were also given to rectify the situation. According to the State Geological Service, these three deposits were specifically named by tax authorities. For other regions, the situation is known only on a regional basis.
It's worth noting that Ukrnafta previously held 94 valid subsoil use permits. The company is known to be associated with Ukrainian oligarch Igor Kolomoisky.
