According to Sport.ua, citing a source within the club, Kharkiv's Metalist has begun searching for a new home stadium and club office.
The Metalist Sports Complex, where the Yellow-Blues play their home games, is too expensive for the club. Previously, the club paid the utility company 134 hryvnias for just one home match. The Kharkiv Regional State Administration understood the situation and, given the difficult times, made concessions to Metalist, promising to halve the fee. However, even this amount is beyond the club's owner, Serhiy Kurchenko.
The Kharkiv team is now looking for a new home and is considering the 6,5-capacity Dynamo Stadium as its new home. It's still unclear whether the stadium meets Premier League requirements.
Let us recall that Metalist played several matches at Dynamo during the 2007/2008 season, when the OSK Metalist was under reconstruction.
In addition, the Kharkiv club's employees will be forced to leave their office at the Metalist Sports Complex and find a cheaper place to work.
