The Primorsky Court of Odessa has authorized the transfer of movable property of the Odessa Oil Refinery and objects belonging to Energy and Gas Ukraine LLC to the state for safekeeping.
Ukrtransnaftoprodukt, a state-owned enterprise, will be directly responsible for storage and operational management. It was Ukrtransnaftoprodukt that previously filed a petition with the Odesa Oblast Prosecutor's Office for the transfer of the property. The property included the 110 kV outdoor switchgear and the non-residential buildings of the power unit. This property had been under arrest since January 19 by a court order.
The court ruling states that Odesa Oil Refinery officials refused to hand over the property, and Ukrtransnaftoprodukt accepted it based on a unilaterally signed inventory. Previously, on November 13, 2015, the court authorized the transfer of all Odesa Oil Refinery real estate and land to the company.
The court's decision was based on the fact that the refinery was unable to provide appropriate storage conditions for the property under arrest.
It is important to note that the refinery currently belongs to the VETEK group of Sergei Kurchenko, and Ukrtransnaftoprodukt is associated with Sergei Tyshchenko and MP Sergei Pashinsky.
