300 hryvnias disappeared from the PrivatBank account of the volunteer charity foundation "Sisters of Victory."
It turned out that the thieves had posed as bank employees and requested confirmation of bank transactions from the volunteers. The bank, in turn, refused to freeze the accounts to prevent the withdrawal of even a portion of the funds.
According to volunteers, a criminal case has been opened on this matter, but it is being deliberately delayed. Appeals to PrivatBank Chairman of the Board Oleksandr Dubilet and UKROP party leader Gennady Korban also yielded no results.
Law enforcement and PrivatBank have not yet commented on this matter. It's worth noting that this is far from the first such incident. Back in the summer, fraudsters apparently obtained the bank's client database, after which they began calling them to verify card numbers and so on. It's unknown how many people were harmed as a result.
