Vadim Gutzeit has become the new president of the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine. Grigory Surkis, Nestor Shufrich and Oleksandr Usyk was included in the NOC membership, writes UE.
Details: At the 2th NOC Reporting and Election Assembly, 123 delegates voted for Gutzeit. Two other candidates also ran for the position: Zhan Beleniuk received 22 votes, and Igor Malinsky received two votes.
According to Ukrinform, former NOC President Serhiy Bubka, who headed the committee since 2005, declined to submit his candidacy this year.

The NOC General Assembly also elected new members of the National Olympic Committee for the 2022-2026 term. Specifically, Grigoriy Surkis, Oleksandr Usyk, Andriy Shevchenko, Maryna Bekh-Romanchuk, Liliya Podkopayeva, and others were elected. The vote was 99 in favor, 11 against, and 4 abstentions.
The Tribuna website reports that they are on a list of 39 individuals who contribute to the development of sports.
Representatives of the Archery Federation, Nestor Shufrych and Olena Sadovnycha, and representatives of the Swimming Federation, Andriy Vlaskov and Viktor Mitsya, were included in the personal list of members of the NOC of Ukraine. This decision received 94 votes in favor, 6 votes against, and 9 abstentions.
