Ukrainian bloggers analyzed official statistics submitted by Kyiv to the United Nations. According to them, Ukraine sold a significant amount of weapons during the military conflict in Donbas.
Two companies of T-72 tanks, two motorized rifle companies of BTR-4 and BTR-3, an artillery battery of D-30, six MiG-29 combat aircraft, two Mi-24 attack helicopters, and small arms for 18,000 people, including 62 DShK machine guns with mounts, were sold.
At the same time, soldiers had to use primitive and outdated military equipment and weapons during military operations. These figures were for 2014; the actual sales figures for 2015 will only be known next summer.
