Ukrainian BM Bank is closing five branches.

BM BankUkrainian BM Bank, a subsidiary of Russia's Bank of Moscow, will close five branches across Ukraine starting in June 2015.

 

The bank's management decided that branches in Ternopil, Uzhgorod, Nova Kakhovka, Boryspil, and Netishyn will be closed starting in June.

 

According to the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU), as of January 1, 2015, BM Bank ranked fourth among 158 operating Ukrainian banks by assets, with assets of UAH 3,437 billion. The main shareholder of the Ukrainian BM Bank is Russia's Bank of Moscow, which owns 99,93% of the shares. More than 75% of the Russian Bank of Moscow is owned by Russia's VTB Bank.

 

Let us recall that in 2013, Ukrainian businessmen Vadim Novinsky and Andrey Klyamko planned to acquire shares of BM Bank.
