Ukrtsukor is headed by Shvaika's former deputy

Last week, Andriy Dykun, former deputy to the controversial former Minister of Agrarian Policy Ihor Shvaika, became the head of the Ukrtsukor association, according to DS.

His predecessor, Nikolai Yarchuk, resigned voluntarily and for health reasons. Given the reputations of Dykun and his former boss, rumors began circulating that Yarchuk was "removed" in preparation for the position specifically for Dykun. This is supported by the fact that Yarchuk championed the interests of the industry and was well-regarded by manufacturers.

It's important to note that Andriy Dykun is a newcomer to the sugar industry. He previously headed the Milk Producers Association. Interestingly, many agree that Dykun needs to wait it out, and his appointment is a convenient sinecure.

On the other hand, the sugar market is currently deteriorating due to falling demand. Therefore, Dikun will have to establish contacts with other sugar buyers abroad, one of which could be China.

It's also worth noting that Dykun hadn't previously been explicitly implicated in corruption or "gray" schemes, but according to some reports, he did participate in them, specifically at Ukrspirt. However, after Shvaika's dismissal and the resulting scandal, Dykun even attempted to replace his former boss.

In topic: Shvaika on a motorcycle. And not only that.
