The State Fiscal Service of Ukraine accused PJSC Ukrgazvydobuvannya of obstructing an audit of the company's financial activities. This was reported to the media by the State Financial Inspectorate's press service.
The State Financial Inspectorate reportedly created a working group consisting of representatives from the State Fiscal Service, the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine, the National Police, the Ministry of Economic Development, and the State Property Fund to conduct an audit of PJSC Ukrgazvydobuvannya on March 22, 2016. However, the company's top management once again blocked the commission's access to the enterprise for the audit.
The State Fiscal Service noted that on February 29, 2016, Ukrgazvydobuvannya also did not allow inspectors to conduct a financial audit, and on March 11, 2016, auditors were not allowed into the enterprise.
The State Financial Inspectorate reported that Ukrgazvydobuvannya's management is blocking inspections, citing the fact that the company is not directly owned by the state but is a structural division of the Naftogaz of Ukraine, and therefore there are no legal grounds for conducting an audit.
Meanwhile, Ukrgazvydobuvannya's press service reports that there are no obstacles to conducting the inspections. However, the commission will only be allowed to conduct the audit if there are legal grounds for doing so.
