Representatives of the State Fiscal Service submitted a proposal to the Cabinet of Ministers to consider revoking all special permits held by PJSC Ukrnafta. The company's tax arrears were cited as the reason.
According to company CEO Mark Rollins, this could have negative consequences, although he acknowledged the existence of debt. However, Rollins added that he has not yet received a response from the government regarding the possibility of settling and restructuring the debt.
It was noted that the settlement of the "tax conflict" should include both the company's debts to the budget and Naftogaz of Ukraine's gas debts to Ukrnafta. Ukrnafta has officially acknowledged its debt of UAH 9,38 billion and has committed to repaying this amount to the state budget.
However, the company also presented its own demands to Kyiv officials, which largely duplicate those of Ihor Kolomoisky's Privat Group. The most important of these demands is the repayment of Naftogaz Ukrainy's debts, as well as the need for incentives for fields currently in mothballed mode and for sites that require additional financial outlays.
