Apparently, Ukraine failed to find its own worthy personnel, since Polish citizen Wojciech Balczun, a former rock guitarist and leader of his own band, "Khimia," was appointed to the post of head of domestic railways.
However, this event is no longer news, unlike another: recently, ubiquitous journalists noticed that the newly appointed head was accompanied everywhere by a striking blonde, whom Balchun introduced as his personal assistant. A brief media investigation quickly revealed the identity of his "right hand": a certain Veronika Marchuk-Pazura, a native of Ukraine and former Kyiv resident who, for over 20 years, had been pursuing a career in neighboring countries.
Back then, just Elena Marchuk, an attractive Ukrainian, quickly found work as a stripper in a nightclub on the Baltic coast. Unappealing to the prospect of returning to her ancestral homeland, she quickly married a Polish auto mechanic.
Having secured the desired residence permit, she soon found a more suitable match: the popular actor Cezary Pazura, from whom Elena took the suffix to her last name, fell under her spell. At the same time, she changed her name to one she believed more fitting for a true Polish woman—thus becoming Weronika. Accordingly, she also changed her origin story, presenting herself as a native Polish citizen with Ukrainian roots. Thanks to her improved financial situation, she consolidated her social status by purchasing a home in Warsaw and moving her parents there.
Veronika's rise to fame was swift: after appearing in erotic scenes in the series "Sex in a Smaller City," she became a television star. But she didn't stop there: after receiving a law degree from Warsaw University, Ms. Marchuk-Pazura founded her own business (Anvero) and began providing legal services. She eventually took over another project, Sting Communication, which focuses on creating media content. She also founded the charitable foundation "Society of Friends of Ukraine."
Having firmly established herself, she divorced her husband to avoid him interfering with her career, but soon began actively assisting her new partner: rock guitarist Wojciech Balczun received significant assistance from her in promoting his band. However, a closer relationship was not publicly reported: in 2009, the public was rocked by news that Weronika Marchuk-Pazura was implicated in a corruption scandal and caught red-handed: a bribe of 100 zlotys threatened her with a prison sentence of two to eight years. But in 2011, the case was closed "due to lack of evidence," despite earlier reports that more than enough evidence had been collected.
Now, the former stripper has arrived in Ukraine as the companion of the new head of the Ukrzaliznytsia company, and in response to journalists' questions, she says she is his assistant and consultant.
