Alexander Vagorovsky, head of the Amstor chain of stores, reports that approximately 5% of all store employees showed up for work on January 20. Therefore, Smart-Holding's ultimatum was not fulfilled, and the vast majority of employees did not succumb to pressure or become accomplices to the crime. Alexander Vagorovsky also asserts that the majority of the workforce remains supportive of the chain's founder and the legally appointed management.
"Amstor" cannot function normally when its stores are controlled by corporate raiders. Only legitimate management can resolve the issue of employee salaries, oversee the fulfillment of supply contracts, and ensure the normal operation of the stores. None of the employees committed any wrongdoing. On the contrary, they worked honestly and conscientiously, and Smart-Holding blocked their operations using forged documents and various abuses. "Don't trust the corporate raiders and don't give in to provocations. The law and truth are on our side. We will prevail, our company will return to normal operations, and everyone will be able to find their calling within the close-knit Amstor team," Alexander Vagorovsky told the chain's employees.
Alexander Vagorovsky noted that law enforcement agencies are currently assessing Smart Holding's actions legally, and any actions by illegally appointed managers are null and void.
Alexander Vagorovsky, head of the Amstor chain of stores, made these statements after Smart Holding's press service released a statement on January 19, which stated that Amstor employees were required to report to work by 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 20. Otherwise, Smart Holding threatened to terminate their employment contracts.
As a reminder, on December 31, Amstor shopping centers in Zaporizhzhia, Mariupol, Kyiv, and other cities were blockaded by armed men led by representatives of Smart Holding. The publication Elita Strany later reported that the identities of those involved in the raid on the Amstor supermarket chain had been established. The organizer of the attack is believed to be Vadim Novinsky, the owner of Smart Holding and a Russian oligarch with a Ukrainian passport, according to Amstor LLC.
