Uman Canning Plant on the Brink of Bankruptcy

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAOn March 12, 2015, the Cherkasy Regional Commercial Court opened case No. 925/276/15 based on a petition from the Uman Regional Tax Inspectorate. According to the registry, the Uman Canning Plant is slated for bankruptcy.

 

According to the court's announcement, the initiating creditor's claim was determined to be UAH 786,84. A moratorium on satisfying creditor claims and the procedure for disposing of the debtor's property was also imposed for a period of 115 calendar days.

 

Insolvency administrator Vasily Levchenko has been appointed as the administrator of the Uman Canning Plant's assets. The administrator is required to compile a register of creditors' claims and submit it to the commercial court for approval by April 23, as well as conduct an inventory of the debtor's assets. A preliminary court hearing is scheduled for May 14.

 

The Uman Canning Plant State Enterprise was purchased by Tavria Food Company LLC (Kherson) in 2005. The plant produces canned fruits and vegetables, as well as fruit and vegetable juices.
