Journalists from the publication "Nashi Groshi" discovered the luxury mansion of the 32-year-old head of the JSC "State Joint-Stock Company "Automobile Roads of Ukraine", Orest Pronik, in the village of Sofievskaya Borshahivka near Kyiv.
This mansion came to light during the preparation of a journalistic investigation into the scandalous "diamond" prosecutor Alexander Korniets.
As journalists from Nashi Groshi note, the two-story cottage located next to Korniets' house, according to an extract from the real estate property register, belongs to Orest Pronik.
According to the documentation, the 403-square-meter cottage was purchased by the head of the State Joint-Stock Company "Avtomobilnye Dorogi Ukrainy" in 2006, meaning he was only 22 years old at the time of the purchase. Journalists clarify that they are unaware whether Mr. Pronik declared this property in his income tax return, as the return itself has not been published anywhere.
As noted in his official biography, Orest Pronik began his career as an assistant to a member of parliament. He later headed a department of the Solomyansky District Road Maintenance Department in Kyiv. Later, Orest Pronik served as vice president for economics and finance at the Ukrainian Aviation Transport Company. In 2011, he became head of the Kyiv Regional Road Department of the State Joint-Stock Company "Avtomobilnye Dorohody Ukrayiny" (Avtomobilnye Dorohody Ukrayiny). In March 2014, he became head of the State Joint-Stock Company "Avtomobilnye Dorohody Ukrayiny" (Avtomobilnye Dorohody Ukrayiny).
Ten years ago, Orest Pronik's father, Yuriy Pronik, held the position of head of the State Joint-Stock Company "Automobile Roads of Ukraine." Currently, Pronik Sr. is the head of the Roads Service in the Rivne Oblast. Previously, he headed a similar structure in the Ternopil Oblast.
An interesting fact is that road repair tenders in the Ternopil, Rivne, Chernivtsi, Khmelnytskyi, and Lviv regions are often won by a company associated with the Pronik family. Techno-Stroy-Center LLC has won tenders worth over UAH 1,6 billion. The company's founder is listed as Lyubomyr Gregorashchuk. His son, Andriy Gregorashchuk, is Yuriy Pronik's son-in-law.
