There have been changes in the management of Rinat Akhmetov's bank, FUIB (First Ukrainian International Bank). Oleg Popov has been elected as the new head of FUIB's supervisory board. This decision was made by shareholders at a meeting on October 5, 2015, as reported by the financial institution's press service.
Mr. Popov is the CEO of Akhmetov's SCM group. Ilya Arkhipov previously chaired the financial institution's supervisory board. Arkhipov has been removed from FUIB's supervisory board. However, he will continue to advise the financial institution on corporate governance and development strategy.
As a reminder, FUIB Bank was founded in 1991. Currently, 92,24% of the bank's shares are owned by Rinat Akhmetov's SCM Finance. As of July 1, 2015, FUIB ranked 12th by assets (UAH 34,184 billion) among all operating financial institutions in Ukraine.
