The Prosecutor General's Office has identified four candidates who will form the selection committee to head the Prosecutor General's Office, now designated as the Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office. This was announced by the Prosecutor General's Office press service.
The commission will include Deputy Prosecutor General Yuri Sevruk, Head of the Main Investigative Department Yuri Grishchenko, Deputy Head of the Human Resources Department Nikolai Sadovy, and First Deputy Head of the Criminal Proceedings Supervision Department Roman Balit.
The remaining seven members will be elected from among parliamentarians, delegated by the Verkhovna Rada. The commission will have a total of 11 members.
It's worth noting that the Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office is being created as a complement to the Anti-Corruption Bureau. It will not only assist but also oversee the work of investigators.
