Yesterday, the Central Election Commission announced the names of newly registered candidates for parliamentary seats in Kyiv's single-member constituencies. Among them are some well-known names.
For example, in the 223rd district, where the sworn enemies of Svoboda are running Yuri Levchenko and the former head of the Shevchenkivskyi district Viktor Pilipishin, the former Minister of Foreign Affairs, chief adviser to the head of the board of PJSC Ukrnafta, will run Vladimir Ohryzko, nominated by the "We Are Ukrainians" party (the project is attributed to Viktor Yushchenko). He has been known for his harsh statements regarding the Russian Black Sea Fleet's presence in Crimea since 2007.
Another famous person among the candidates is a TV presenter Igor Molyar, who is running for Lyashko's Radical Party. Incidentally, the same political force is also running for a former Kyiv City Council member, a major general in the SBU, and a professor at the Dragomanov Pedagogical University. Nikolai Boychuk (District No. 217, Obolon) and former Kyiv City Council deputy Yaroslav Bystrushkin, son of the former head of the Kyiv City State Administration Department of Culture Oleksandr Bystrushkin (District No. 213, Troyeshchyna).
