More than fifty Ukrainian companies are involved in Yanukovych's corruption schemes.

YanukovychTransparency International analyst Yevhen Chernyak stated on Radio Liberty that approximately 75 Ukrainian companies were involved in former Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych's corruption schemes, according to RBC.

According to Chernyak, 51 of the aforementioned companies are subject to foreign law: in Panama, the UK, Austria, Switzerland, and Cyprus, with approximately 20 key figures involved. He also stated that Yanukovych himself was not involved in the schemes; his relatives were.

It should be noted that Transparency International previously named Yanukovych the leader of its ranking of the largest corrupt officials and also demanded that the European Union strengthen sanctions against former high-ranking Ukrainian officials and that the Russian authorities facilitate Yanukovych's capture.

It's worth noting that the EU has sanctions against 17 former Ukrainian officials, and overall, sanctions apply to 37 companies and 149 individuals. Yanukovych and his associates are suspected of actions aimed at violating Ukraine's territorial integrity.
