People's Front Party deputy Georgy Logvinsky stood up for a girl who was being harassed by a drunk man, for which he was punched in the head.
Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Member of Parliament Heorhiy Logvinskyy was involved in a brawl at an Odesa nightclub. He witnessed an intoxicated patron grab a woman he didn't know by the buttocks, after which she began screaming for help. The MP couldn't stand by and decided to intervene, calling the police.
“Sashko” Semeyuta:
As it later turned out, the intoxicated nightclub patron was the son of a well-known Ukrainian businessman, Oleksandr "Sashko" Semenyuta, who was upset that Logvinsky was defending a girl. Without thinking twice, he punched the MP in the head and then attempted to leave the nightclub with his friends.

By this time, police officers had arrived on the scene and attempted to detain the drunken troublemaker, but he refused to surrender. Fueled by alcohol, he attacked the officers with his fists. The police barely managed to subdue Semenyuta and take him to the station along with the MP.
As Logvinsky later stated, after the incident, numerous friends and relatives of Semenyuta began calling him, asking him not to pursue the matter and offering to "hush up" the conflict for a certain reward, but the MP categorically refused this offer.
"After that, my phone rang off the hook; everyone was calling nonstop: MPs, businessmen, and even the holy fathers. They all had the same request: Sashko was celebrating the birth of his son that day; he was 10 days old, and his wife's milk supply had dried up, so please have mercy and just stop being a lawyer. We've already sorted everything out with the cops and the court ourselves. But they're afraid of you: you're keeping things under control and won't let them get hushed up. The calls continued and continue to this day—threatening, explaining that they have the money and have already reached an agreement with the court, so Mr. Logvinsky, agree to take the funds, or else it won't be there," Logvinsky wrote on his Facebook page.
The people's deputy declared that he would go to the end to punish the young "master of his life," as he put it. He expressed hope that the Odesa court would make the only correct decision and punish the drunken troublemaker..
