Ukrainian Security Service officers are conducting searches at the premises of the Glusco gas station chain, which is linked to MP Viktor Medvedchuk, reports UNIAN.

A source for the publication reported that the searches are related to the organization of a large-scale illegal scheme for the trafficking and sale of low-quality petroleum products.

The intelligence agency officially stated that "as part of a criminal investigation, law enforcement officers documented the organization of a large-scale illegal scheme for the circulation and sale of low-quality petroleum products. It was established that the organizers deliberately evaded paying taxes to the state budget, thereby causing significant damage."

The estimated amount of tax evasion is approximately 240 million hryvnia.

Currently, 140 searches are being conducted in 13 office premises, 7 oil depots, 13 sea vessels, 105 gas stations and 2 customs clearance departments.
