A local oligarch's wealthy estate was blown up in Uzhgorod.

Police in Transcarpathia have recorded a peculiar form of revenge against an oligarch: the estate of 46-year-old private entrepreneur and city council member Viktor Bobita in Uzhhorod was blown up. A law enforcement source told Obozrevatel in an exclusive comment.
"A powerful explosion occurred on the night of August 27th, somewhere around 1:00 a.m. I can't say yet what detonated it, but the results are clear: the façade of a residential building was severely damaged, part of a fence was destroyed, and Mr. Bobita's indiscreet Range Rover was also destroyed," the law enforcement officer said.

According to him, only material assets were destroyed, but fortunately, people were not harmed.
A criminal case has been opened on this incident. The investigation is ongoing.
"First, we're trying to determine what was blown up. Then we'll begin searching for the perpetrators," the police concluded.

As we previously reported, unknown individuals robbed 47-year-old Svetlana Zorina, director of the Kyiv City State Administration's Department of Culture, in Kyiv. They stole a bag containing 20 hryvnias from her BMW.
