Employees of the Strategic Investigations Department in the Khmelnytskyi region of the Far Eastern District of the National Police, together with colleagues from the Investigative Department of the Main Directorate of the National Police, under the procedural leadership of the prosecutor's office, documented the activities of a criminal group that was engaged in fraud with state lands, reports press office National police.

"Members of the criminal group organized a scheme to find war veterans and other individuals who had not exercised their right to receive two hectares of land free of charge, helped them register their land plots, and then immediately sold them to third parties. For this, the citizens who provided their documents for the land registration received between 250 and 800 hryvnias," the report states.
Thus, during 2019-2020, criminals withdrew hundreds of hectares of land from state ownership.
At the end of February of this year, as part of a criminal investigation, law enforcement officers conducted 12 authorized searches, during which they seized a number of documents, including copies of passports and UBD identification cards, gift deeds, and the like.
