On April 19, 2021, the High Anti-Corruption Court (HACC) decided to refuse to approve the plea agreement between Vitaly Zhukov, the owner of Optimumspetsdetal, and the SAP, as reported Ukrainian news with reference to court materials.
Thus, Zhukov, suspected of tax evasion of 49 million hryvnias in the supply of spare parts to a plant of the Ukroboronprom concern, as well as of money laundering, will not be able to compensate the state budget for 4 million hryvnias in damages.
“As can be seen from the content of the agreement, the circumstances mitigating Zhukov’s punishment include his sincere repentance, active assistance in solving the criminal offense, and voluntary partial compensation for the damage caused by this crime.
"However, during the court hearing, it emerged that partial compensation for damages in the amount of UAH 26,612,147 was provided by another defendant in the case, while Zhukov had planned to repay UAH 4,000,000 in damages in the future, subject to the approval of a plea agreement. At the time of the plea agreement's consideration, this could not be considered by the court as a circumstance mitigating his punishment," the publication writes.
Let us recall that Zhukov is a defendant in the case involving Igor Gladkovsky (the son of the former first deputy secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Oleg Gladkovsky).
Ранее Skelet.Org reported that The SAP handed Gladkovsky Jr. the indictment.
