The High Anti-Corruption Court found the former head of the State Fiscal Service Roman Nasirov guilty of abuse of office in favor of companies associated with a former people's deputy Alexander Onishchenko.
This became known from broadcasts of the court hearing.
What is the verdict?
The court sentenced Nasirov to six years in prison and remanded him in custody right in the courtroom.
In addition, the former official must pay a fine of 17 hryvnias. The court also ruled that Nasirov will be barred from holding certain positions for three years.
Another official, former head of the State Fiscal Service department Vladimir Novikov, received a four-year prison sentence for the same case.

Let us recall Nasirov and ex-official of the State Fiscal Service Vladimir Novikov blamed Abuse of office (Part 2, Article 364) and forgery (Part 1, Article 366 of the Criminal Code). According to investigators, the former head of the State Fiscal Service and the director of the State Fiscal Service department allowed companies belonging to fugitive MP Oleksandr Onyshchenko, suspected of organizing "gas schemes" under joint venture agreements with PJSC Ukrgazvydobuvannya, to avoid paying the state royalties for subsoil use between 2015 and 2016. These actions caused damage to the state in the amount of over 2 billion hryvnias.
In the spring, Nasirov attempted to mobilize into the Ukrainian Armed Forces. However, the mobilization order was cancelled, and the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrsky, ordered an internal investigation into his conscription.
