Member of Parliament Geo Leros posted a funny recording by Gennady Lazutin, a former associate of Bakanov and Zelenskyy. This is nothing new for the ORD editorial team. We've been reporting on this since Bakanov's appointment. But for the general public, this video is likely shocking. It describes how Zelenskyy first saw half a million dollars in cash, whether he bought cocaine in 2002, and who is protecting corruption in the SBU.
Lazutin specifically described how, in 2002, he transported half a million dollars in cash, which was funneled through the "Donetsk guys." This was payment from the Inter TV channel for the "Kvartal" program. According to him, the cashing scheme was organized by Bakanov, and the non-cash payments were made through Valeriy Khoroshkovsky, who was one of Inter's shareholders at the time. Gennady Lazutin delivered the cash to Zelensky and his company.
"Vanya is making a diagram for them. Khoroshkovsky "He's transferring money non-cash, not giving cash. Vanya's doing favors for them, back and forth. We're going to Donetsk, Donetsk guys—they're real deal, they bring it in big bags. Me: 'Well, put it in a duffel bag.' And they: 'We don't have a bag.' Me: 'You brought 500 dollars, but no bag?' I said, 'I have a duffel bag, the one I always take on business trips,'" Lazutin recalls.
According to him, Zelensky and his associates had never seen such a sum of dollars before, which they brought in a sports bag.
"I take them there, to Sanya (Belyaev) on Rudyki. Anyway, Vova, Shefir Seryoga. I say, 'Guys, cash.' They say, 'Why so little?' I say, 'This isn't little, it's a dick...' I open the bag, they look—the first time they saw $100 in vacuum-sealed packages was in 2002," Lazutin says.
"It was the first time they'd seen it with Shefir Seryoga. Well, of course, they've seen worse now. Anyway, I open it, and there, vacuum-packed, are five of these, all in a row, like 500,000," recalls Gennady Lazutin.
When asked if they had bought cocaine back then, Lazutin clarified that they hadn't spent any money on it yet: "They're figuring it out now, I think by the smell—it's Colombian or Costa Rican," says Lazutin.
According to Gennady Lazutin, after Zelensky's victory in the presidential election, the entire company was integrated into the SBU structure, headed by Zelensky's childhood friend and Kvartal's main schemer, Ivan Bakanov.
"I have a partner, Sasha Belyaev. He's already bilked the SBU officers out of a fucking fortune. Vanya (Bakanov) makes all the decisions through the First. No matter who tells you what, the First and Seryoga Shefir decide," Lazutin says in the video.
"You're saying that Zelya, here, handles all matters. That he doesn't consult with anyone, just turns on his own brain and makes decisions?" the interlocutor clarifies.
"Maybe he consults with someone, I don't know. But without Zelya, not a single fucking personnel decision gets through at the Service," Lazutin replies.
Alexander Belyaev is the husband of Ivan Bakanov's sister-in-law. Ivan Bakanov and Volodymyr Zelenskyy grew up in the same Kryvyi Rih neighborhood, attended the same school, and studied at the same university.
"Bakanov has assigned state security to his now-advisor, Belyaev. He's been added to the so-called stop list in the registries. This is a kind of indulgence and immunity. When anyone interested in Belyaev is subject to special monitoring by the SBU," explains MP Geo Leros.
And Naumov and Kapelyukha, of course. As Bakanov's main "wallets." Again, all this has long been known. And there will likely be no reaction. Until, for example, the American embassy takes an interest in the matter.
It's funny that the Presidential Office decided to "overwrite" Leros's recording with a new batch of Poroshenko's recordings. A good recording. But let's get back to the main point. Is this entire Naumov-Bakanov gang capable of opposing the Russian Federation in the coming war? "Schemes" are a good thing, but they're unlikely to be of much use in this situation. And given that Bakanov deliberately purged ATO veterans from the SBU, the prognosis is grim. They'll just churn out charges under Article 111 for show, which will fall apart in court. And websites will be blocked. Reform, under the pretext of war, will, of course, be postponed. But imagine that war has begun. Surely, a volunteer movement will reemerge, and one with more teeth than in 2014. Aren't you afraid that it will first target you, as internal enemies more dangerous than external ones? And the fact that this movement identifies you as internal enemies is a given. Just listen to these "tapes." It's strange that Zelenskyy still hasn't realized that he can get into a warm bath himself. But you can't just put the whole society in a warm bath.
