The head of the Kyiv City State Administration is once again creating another working group to study the effectiveness of Pharmacia.

"Considering the findings of the audit report of the municipal enterprise 'Pharmacia,' a working group has been established to study the effectiveness of 'Pharmacia' in order to prepare proposals for improving the company's financial condition," the Kyiv City State Administration said in a statement.
It's worth noting that this is far from the first audit of this company this year. The first audit of Pharmacia was ordered by Kyiv City State Administration Head Volodymyr Bondarenko in April.
Following the high-profile dismissal of Oleh Klimov, head of the state-owned enterprise "Pharmacia," the new head of the Kyiv City State Administration, Vitaliy Klitschko, initiated another investigation.
The results showed that prices at the Pharmacia private enterprise were significantly higher than those of private suppliers. This was due to the high cost of Pharmacia's medications. The enterprise purchased only 25% of its products from manufacturers, with the rest coming from intermediaries.
Pharmacia's activities, specifically the supply of inflated medications to municipal hospitals, resulted in unnecessary waste of budget funds in 2013 and the first three months of 2014. According to auditors' estimates, the loss amounted to approximately 1,6 million hryvnias, while during this period, Pharmacia generated only 800 hryvnias in profit for the city.
Vitali Klitschko now wants a new working group to re-examine the situation at the enterprise, identify the causes of the enterprise's ineffective performance, and submit proposals to the mayor within a week for addressing them. Klitschko has assigned oversight of this order to his first deputy, Igor Nikonov.
