Vladimir Prodivus is a rather controversial figure. On the one hand, he is a successful businessman, athlete, former head of the Ukrainian Boxing Federation, and a "curator" of the sport's development in our country, writes Antikor.
But on the other hand, Prodivus is known as a crime boss who built his business according to the "laws" of the turbulent 1990s. In 1989, he was even sentenced to three years in prison. But that's not all. He's also known for his friendship with pro-Russian figures, despite Ukraine being engulfed in a full-scale war for almost a year. What is known about the scandal brewing within the Federal Security Service (FBU) between Shevchenko, Prodivus, and Kremlev? Vladimir Stepanovich, 59, hails from Shakhan, Kazakhstan. He is a businessman, philanthropist, politician, and former president of the Ukrainian Boxing Federation.
He is linked to machinations in the amber business and to "gray" schemes to control foreign currency markets. He is one of the "shadow" shareholders of Sofievsky Bank.
Besides this, Prodivus is also known as a crime boss with pro-Russian sympathies. But first things first.
Vladimir Prodivus. Business and Wealth
According to the businessman himself, he earned his first million 20 years ago. However, just a couple of years later, media outlets estimated his fortune at $200 million. By 2010, Focus magazine estimated his net worth at only $31 million. Remarkably, Prodyvus hasn't appeared among the top 100 richest Ukrainians since then, but in one interview he stated that he did so deliberately to avoid attracting paparazzi attention.
According to the Opendata information registry, the Vinnytsia businessman owns a number of companies.
And that's not counting those where he is the director.

Prodivus is a former Party of Regions member. At one point, ten years ago, he entered politics and became a member of parliament for the Party of Regions. But in 2014, during the Euromaidan, he promptly and timely left the controversial party.
The deputy was caught pushing buttons twice.
This period of his life can be summed up by an investigation by the program "Groshi" under the very eloquent title "Non-deputy activities of deputy Prodivus."
Vladimir Prodivus is a well-known crime boss in Vinnytsia.
He was called a thief in law and a crime boss. As you can imagine, no one gains such titles for nothing. He gained his greatest criminal notoriety in Vinnytsia, where he grew up, studied, and started his business. In 1989, he was even sentenced to three years in prison for car theft and causing grievous bodily harm under Parts 2 and 19 of Article 123, Part 2 of Article 193, and Article 215 of the Criminal Code of the Ukrainian SSR. He served his sentence in the Shostka penal colony.
In May 2014, Prodivus was involved in a gang shootout that took place in a forest in the Rivne region.
Local residents then accused him of attempting to seize the amber deposits. However, the MP himself defended himself to the media, claiming he was there for a good cause and for the people, wanting to "talk."

Friendship with pro-Russian individuals
In January of this year, on the eve of the outbreak of full-scale war, Prodivus publicly fraternized with the pro-Russian Umar Kremlev and even posted a video in which he sent "hello" to Ukrainians and Russians, calling them "a single Slavic people"... No comment!

In 2020, Prodivus attended During the introduction of boxer Vyacheslav Uzelkov, the candidate for Vinnytsia mayor from the now-banned Opposition Platform – For Life party, he even participated in the entertainment program, jumping rope.
And then in the same year I attended the “ball at Medvedchuk", or more precisely, the wedding of Putin's godfather's stepson.

A serious scandal is currently raging in the media surrounding the leadership of the Ukrainian Boxing Federation. Officially, Vladimir Stepanovich headed the Ukrainian Boxing Federation until June 15 of this year, and Kyrylo Shevchenko was appointed in his place.
Recently, Ukrainian Minister of Youth and Sports Vadim Gutzeit commented on the conflict within the Federal Budgetary Institution (FBU), which was headed by Kyrylo Shevchenko. However, V. Prodivus and the aforementioned Umar Kremlev categorically disagree with this appointment.

Incidentally, protests broke out outside the FBU nine months ago. Fourteen regional federations refused to recognize Prodivus as president of the Ukrainian Boxing Federation.
Prodivus and the Amber Scandal
Back in 2016, a high-profile scandal erupted involving one of the companies in which the businessman is the owner and beneficiary. The company in question was the limited liability company "Mostostroy." At the time, Prodivus was accused of overseeing illegal amber mining in the Rivne region.
What is known about this company? LLC "Mostobud" with a registered capital of one million hryvnias. Prodivus owns 41% of the company. As of early 2022, the organization has a tax debt of almost 1,6 million hryvnias.
According to the Unified State Register of Court Decisions, this company is listed in 1575 documents, many of which are criminal cases.
